Abstract
Promjena načina života i usvajanje sve više nezdravih navika kod velike većine ljudi dovela je do pojave radikulopatije. To je stanje do kojeg dolazi uklještenjem živca koje uzrokuje pojavu senzacija niz gornji ili donji ekstremitet, ovisno o živcu koji je zahvaćen. Nerijetko one postaju kronične i bol toliko intenzivna da se sve veći broj pacijenata odlučuje na kirurško liječenje istih. Cilj ovog rada je istražiti u kojoj mjeri je radikulopatije moguće liječiti konzervativnim putem, dakle manualnom terapijom u kombinaciji s dekompresijskom terapijom kralježnice. Istraživanje je provedeno na 70 pacijenata u dobi od 20-65 godina, kojima je neurodinamskim testom potvrđeno postojanje cervikalne ili lumbalne radikulopatije.
Abstract (english)
Change in lifestyle and adopting more and more unhealthy habits, caused radiculopathy in great amount of people. Radiculopathy is combination of symptoms such as strobing pain down the extremity, tingling and/or warmth, caused by a nerve entrapment in cervical or lumbar spine. Very often radiculopathies become chronic and the pain gets so intense that the number of patients who choose surgical treatment is constantly increasing. The aim of this research was to evaluate how much conservative treatment can help when this diagnose is made. Manual therapy and spine decompression were used as conservative treatment methods. The study was conducted on 70 patients, aged 20-65, which were confirmed for lumbar and/or cervical radiculopathy using neurodynamic tests.
