Abstract
Ankilozantni spondilitis (spondylitis ankylosans) predstavlja kroničnu progresivnu reumatsku bolest. Bolest najviše zahvaća lokomotorni sustav, a u manjoj mjeri i visceralne organe. Ime bolesti dolazi od grčke riječi ankilosis – savijen i spondilos – kralježak. Incidencija i prevalencija AS-a je različita u populacijama. Prema podacima iz Europe prevalencija je između 0,1% i 1,4%, dok u srednjoj Europi iznosi 0,3 - 0,5%. Bolest češće zahvaća muškarce nego žene. Najčešće se pojavljuje u dobi od 15-29 godine. Uzrok AS-a nije poznat. U početku bolesti je postavljanje dijagnoze otežano zbog simptoma koji se u početku ne povezuju odmah sa ovom bolešću. Postoji rimski i New York kriterij za dijagnozu bolesti. Liječenje ankilozantnog spondilitisa temelji se na farmakološkim i ne farmakološkim metodama liječenja. Procjena pacijenta temelji se na SOAP metodi. U ne farmakološke metode spada: edukacija, zaštita zglobova, fizikalna terapija, korištenje različitih toplinskih i klimatskih agensa te alternativni načini poput Tai – chi. Terapijske vježbe imaju najveći učinak te doprinose smanjenju boli i povećanju funkcije u aktivnostima svakodnevnog života. Cilj rada je bio utvrditi razliku tjelesnih sposobnosti pacijenata te kako fizikalna terapije utječe na status i sposobnost.
Abstract (english)
Ankylosing spondylitis (spondylitis ankylosans) is a chronic progressive rheumatic disease. The locomotor system is the most affected by this disease and the less visceral organs is affected. Then name of disease comes from greek word ankilosis – bent and spondilos – the vertebrae. Incidence and prevalence of AS is different in populations. According to data from Europe, the prevalence is between 0.1% and 1.4%, while in Central Europe it is 0,3 – 0,5 %. Dissease affects more men then women. It most often occurs at the age of 15 – 29 years. The cause of AS is not known. In the beginning of the disease, diagnosing is difficult because of symptoms that do not initially relate to this disease. Treatment of ankylosing spondylitis is based on the pharmacological and nonpharmacological metods. The patient´s assessment is based on SOAP method. Nonpharmacological methods include: education, joint protection, physical therapy, use of various thermal and climatic agents and alternativ way such as Tai Chi. Therapeutic exercise have the greatest contribution to reducing pain and increasing function in daily life activities. The aim od the study was to determine the difference between the physical abilities of a patient and how pshysicsl therapy sffects to status and ability.
