The concept of drugs, that is, drug abuse and addiction, is a danger for the future of every country, including the Republic of Croatia. In relation to the problem of birth rates, the danger of drug abuse increases due to joint and interactive action and becomes disastrous for the Republic of Croatia. The ever-increasing activity of drug marketing produces incalculable damages on the broadest level. The drug market has expanded from cities to smaller settlements and even to remote parts of the country and islands. The price of drugs is falling, which is the result of a large supply and a response to a large demand, which leads to the conclusion that the percentage of people who do not abuse drugs is plummeting. The consequences for society are long-term due to the problems brought by young people growing up with drugs and due to the increase in the number of addicts. The relatively small population of today's primary and secondary school students, who bear the responsibility for the future development of the Republic of Croatia, is insufficiently protected. Namely, healthy, educated, disciplined and ambitious young people are the foundation of every success and perspective of improvement in the community. On the other hand, observing the behavior of drug users in society, and also observing society towards them, it can be concluded that drug users find it difficult to manage in society, while on the other hand, they are hardly accepted by society. It can be said that people who are drug users and who have already developed a drug addiction, even when they want to resist consumption and stop using drugs, there is still a feeling of discomfort and fear in the subconscious about the impossibility of achieving that act of not consuming drugs. Drug users who want to stop using drugs have the opportunity to achieve this goal with the help of healthcare and healthcare professionals from various areas covered by healthcare.
