The EU's transport policy can be defined as a sustainable mobility in which the European competitive strength is linked to the well-being of its inhabitants, contributing to better insurance, protection and greater user rights. The founding charter for transport plays a certain role dedicated to the European transport policy which is the basic legal basis for the adoption of legal acts within this area. The European internal market enables physical and legal persons to move freely to trade in all member states in order to stimulate GDP growth. Negative integration removes discriminatory and restrictive institutions and introduces free economic transactions. There are four fundamental freedoms of the internal market divided into freedom of workers and freedom of residence, freedom of movement of goods, freedom to provide services and protection of competition. Positive integration is the construction of new policies and other institutions that ensure the transfer of a large part of the economic policy instruments at a supranational level. Transport is divided into four main branches which are road, rail, sea, air, inland waterway and postal and telecommunications services.
