Abstract
Poremećaj ličnosti možemo definirati kao skup psihičkih osobina i mehanizama unutar osobe, koje svojim djelovanjem utječu na odnos osobe s okolinom i na prilagodbu osobe s okolinom. U današnjem vremenu jedan od „zapostavljenih“ iliti premalo istraženoga poremećaja ličnosti je granični poremećaj ličnosti (eng. Borderline personality disorder). To je ozbiljan poremećaj ličnosti, klinička slika oboljelih je: impulzivnost, razdražljivost, kronični osjećaj praznine, stalni prisutan strah od napuštanja voljenih osoba, nanošenje ozljeda sebi samima te nestabilni međuljudski odnosi. Uzroci nastanka poremećaja leži u činjenici, da većina osoba s dijagnosticiranim graničnim poremećajem ličnosti su imali sličnu povijest traume u djetinjstvu (zlostavljanje) koje se kasnije odrazilo na njihovu strukturu ličnosti, ostali čimbenici koji mogu imati ulogu u nastanku poremećaja su: genetska predispozicija te razni biološki i socijalni faktori. Oni na sebi prihvatljiv način percipiraju stvarnost/činjenice pomoću mehanizama obrane. Liječenje je dugotrajno jer se u kasnom periodu života otkrije da osoba boluje od ovoga poremećaja, liječenje se sastoji od psihoterapije u kombinaciji sa medikamentoznom terapijom u koliko su prisutni psihotični simptomi.
Abstract (english)
Personality disorder can be defined as a set of psychological characteristic and mechanisms withn a person, which by their action affect the person´s relationship with the environment and person´s adaptation to the environment. Nowadays, one of the „neglected“ or under – researched personality disorders is Borderline personality disorder. It is a serious personality disorder, the clinical picture of patients is: impulsivity, irritabiliy, chronic feeling of emptiness, constant fear of leaving loved ones, self harm and unstable interpersonal relationships. The causes of the disorder lie in the fact that most people diagnosed with borderline personality disorder had a similar history of childhood abuse that later reflected on their personality structure. Other factors that may play a role in the development of the disorder genetic predisposition and various biological and social factors. Personality disorder is usually discovered in late period of lie so treatment is long-lasting psychotherapy in combination with the medication therapy as psychotic symptoms are present.
