Abstract
Osteoporoza je bolest karakterizirana smanjenjem koštane mase, kao i poremećajem u građi kosti, a predstavlja veliki javnozdravstveni problem današnjice. Uslijed nastalih promjena dolazi do povećanog rizika za nastanak prijeloma u osoba oboljelih od osteoporoze, a jedan od ciljeva fizioterapije kod ovakvih pacijenata svakako je prevencija nastanka prijeloma prijeloma. Vitamin D je tvar koja se sintetizira u koži uz djelovanje UV zraka, a izvor vitamina D pronalazimo i u hrani. Hrana bogata vitaminom D su gljive, masna riba, jaja itd. Najvažniji oblici vitamina D su ergokalciferol i kolekalciferol. Osim u hrani, vitamin D može biti unesen i putem dodataka prehrani, a najpoznatiji dodatak prehrani su D3 kapi. Kada govorimo o tjelesnoj aktivnosti osoba s osteporozom, naglasak je na vježbama s opterećenjem, vježbama s otporom, vježbama koordinacije te vježbama disanja. U ovom završnom radu biti će obrađena tematika uloge vitamina D u liječenju osteoporoze.
Abstract (english)
Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by a decrease in bone mass, as well as a disorder in bone structure. Due to the changes, there is an increased risk of fractures in people with osteoporosis, and one of the goals of physiotherapy in such patients is certainly the prevention of fractures. Vitamin D is a substance that is synthesized in the skin under the action of UV rays, and the source of vitamin D is also found in some food. Foods rich in vitamin D are mushrooms, oily fish, eggs, etc. The most important forms of vitamin D are ergocalciferol and colecalciferol. In addition to food, vitamin D can also be taken through dietary supplements, and the most famous dietary supplement is D3 drops. In light of physical activity of people with osteoporosis, the emphasis is on load-bearing exercises, resistance exercises, coordination exercises, and breathing exercises. In this undergraduate thesis, the topic of the role of vitamin D in the treatment of osteoporosis will be discussed.
