Abstract
Maksimalni primitak kisika (VO2max) u svom apsolutnom i relativnom obliku (u odnosu na tjelesnu masu) sinonim je za aerobne mogućnosti pojedinaca. Definira se kao razina primitka kisika pri kojoj povećanje daljnjeg opterećenja ne dovodi više do povećanja primitka kisika, i važan je pokazatelj kondicije čovjeka i stanja srčano-žilnog sustava. U sportu se često mjeri i zbog njegove važnosti razvijeno je mnogo terenskih testova za indirektnu procjenu VO2max. U zadnje vrijeme se pojavila formula za procjenu VO2max kod utreniranih pojedinaca na osnovu srčane frekvencije u mirovanju. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi u kojoj mjeri se slažu rezultati procjene VO2max na osnovu Cooper testa i preko srčane frekvencije u mirovanju. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 21 ispitanik, svi muškog spola i aktivni igrači nogometnog kluba Borac iz Kneževih Vinograda koji igra u međužupanijskoj ligi (4.HNL). Za određivanje maksimalnog primitka kisika kao glavne mjere aerobnog kapaciteta korišten je Cooper test. Srčana frekvencija u mirovanju (HRrest) određena je komercijalno dostupnim sportskim satom (Garmin Forerunner) kao minimalna vrijednost frekvencije tijekom dva uzastopna dana nošenja sata. Korelacija između rezultata vrijednosti utroška kisika određenih dvjema metodama iznosi r=0,699 (p<0,001) Bland Altmanovim grafikonom utvrđeno je da individualne razlike odstupaju od srednje vrijednosti razlike prosječno 1,4%, a ovo odstupanje ide od 0,6% do 11,63%. Ne primjećuje se trend odstupanja s promjenom srednje vrijednosti razlike koja bi ukazala na neku sistemsku pogrešku u mjerenju. Na osnovu rezultata možemo zaključiti da procjena VO2max na osnovu mjerenja srčane frekvencije u mirovanju ima potencijala za korištenje pri praćenju promjena VO2max s treningom.
Abstract (english)
Maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max) in its absolute and relative form (relative to body weight) is synonymous with the aerobic capacity of individuals. It is defined as the level of oxygen uptake at which an increase in further load no longer leads to an increase in oxygen uptake, and is an important indicator of human fitness and the state of the cardiovascular system. It is often measured in sport and due to its importance many field tests have been developed for the indirect assessment of VO2max. Recently, a formula has emerged to estimate VO2max in trained individuals based on resting heart rate. The aim of this study was to determine the extent to which the results of the VO2max assessment based on the Cooper test and over resting heart rate agree. The study involved 21 respondents, all male and active players of the football club Borac from Kneževi Vinogradi, which plays in the inter-county league (4.HNL). The Cooper test was used to determine maximal oxygen uptake as the main measure of aerobic capacity. The resting heart rate (HRrest) was determined by a commercially available sports watch (Garmin Forerunner) as the minimum frequency value for two consecutive days of wearing the watch. The correlation between the results of oxygen consumption values determined by the two methods is r = 0.699 (p <0.001). %. There is no trend of deviation with a change in the mean value of the difference that would indicate a system error in the measurement. Based on the results, we can conclude that the assessment of VO2max based on resting heart rate measurements has the potential to be used in monitoring VO2max changes with training.
