The development of tourism lasted for centuries. It started as a casual pastime but became more widespread with the advent of modern times. People started booking tours at a time of political and economic revolution. Now, traveling to certain tourist destinations is a regular part of the daily life of many people around the world. The word tourism refers to activities that a person does outside of their usual environment, such as business trips or vacation trips. It can be used for any reason, for example for a year-round vacation. Millions of people work in the tourism market, provide millions of services and play a key role in the economic growth of any country. Today, this market is an economic force that employs millions and provides millions of services to everyone who decides to go on vacation. If someone decides to take a vacation, they will have a wide variety of tourist options to choose from — some will offer older and less attractive services, while others will be modern and attractive. With increasing age, the number of chronic health problems increases. It is believed that about 80% of people aged 65 and over have several chronic diseases. Nowadays, in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, there are more and more wellness programs for the elderly, which are carried out in various spas and baths, such as Tuhelj, Jezerčica, and many others. The goal of wellness for people of the third age is to achieve satisfaction and relaxation, but also to socialize with people of a similar age. This thesis aims to analyze the physical differences between older people who regularly exercise and those who do not. The data collected during the writing of this review show that people want to feel good, look good and maintain healthy habits every day. In addition, they want to reduce stress and, through physical activity, eliminate it.
