Abstract
Osteoporoza je kronična reumatska bolest koju karakterizira smanjena gustoća kostiju. Ona nema nikakve simptome sve dok ne dođe do prijeloma. Bolest se čišće pojavljuje kod žena nego kod muškaraca. Postoji primarna i sekundarna osteoporoza. Također, postoje faktori rizika na koje se može utjecati i na koje se ne može utjecati. Što se tiče liječenja, postoji farmakološko i nefarmakološko liječenje i često se kombiniraju obje vrste liječenja. Liječenje je sveobuhvatno te obuhvaća i fizioterapiju koja uključuje specifične vježbe koje su prilagođene za pacijente koji imaju osteoporozu i one poboljšavaju kvalitetu života i smanjuju bol. Cilj rada je opisati osteoporozu kao bolest, njezino liječenje i ulogu fizioterapije u procesu liječenja osteoporoze
Abstract (english)
Osteoporosis is a chronic rheumatic disease characterized by reduced bone density. She has no symptoms until the fracture occurs. The disease is more common in women than in men. There is primary and secondary osteoporosis. Also, there are controllable and noncontrollable risk factors. In terms of treatment, there is pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment and often both types of treatment are combined. The treatment is comprehensive and includes physiotherapy, which includes specific exercises that are adapted to patients with osteoporosis and improve the quality of life and reduce pain. The aim of the paper is to describe osteoporosis as a disease, its treatment and the service of physiotherapy in the process of treating osteoporosis.
