Abstract
Dugo vremena vjerovalo se da je poduzetništvo „muški posao“. Danas, žensko poduzetništvo sve više dobiva na značenju i govori o tome da gotovo da nema razlika između poduzetnika i poduzetnica. Naime, istraživanja pokazuju da je upravo ono postalo najdinamičniji segment gospodarstva posebice u najrazvijenijim zemljama svijeta. Iako u Hrvatskoj ne postoji prihvaćena definicija, američka definicija ženskog poduzetništva govori o tome da je žensko poduzeće gospodarski subjekt koje je barem 51 posto u vlasništvu žene koja ga istovremeno kontrolira i vodi. Žensko poduzetništvo je također važno i zbog ravnopravnosti spolova te jačanja kapaciteta za pokretanje poduzetničkog pothvata. Cilj ovog završnog rada je determinirati pojam ženskog poduzetništva s posebnim osvrtom na rezultate GEM istraživanja koji, unatrag desetak godina, bilježe pozitivan trend rasta poduzetnica u Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
For a long time, it was believed that entrepreneurship is ''men's business''. Today, woman entrepreneurship is becoming increasingly significant, exhibiting diminishing differences between male and female entrepreneurs. For instance, research shows that it has become the most dynamic economic segment, especially in highly developed countries. Although there isn't a widely accepted definition in Croatia, American definition of woman entrepreneurship specifies a woman enterprise as an economic subject in the property (at least 51%) of a woman who simultaneously controls and leads it. Woman entrepreneurship is also crucial for gender equality, as well as strengthening the capacity for launching entrepreneurial ventures. The goal of this final thesis is to determine the term ''woman entrepreneurship'' with a special overview of the results of the GEM research which, in the last ten years, record a positive growth trend of female entrepreneurs in Croatia.
