Abstract
Parkinsonova bolest je jedna od najčešćih neurodegenerativnih bolesti s prosječnim početkom dobi u 60-ima i obično iznad 50-te godine života. Patogeneza Parkinsonove bolesti uzrokovana je interakcijom genetskih i okolišnih čimbenika, ali točan mehanizam nastanka bolesti još nije poznat. Najznačajniji motorički simptomi bolesti su tremor u mirovanju, bradikinezija, rigiditet i posturalna nestabilnost. U liječenju Parkinsonove bolesti primjenjuje se farmakološka terapija, neurokirurške metode te fizioterapija. Fizioterapija pridonosi poboljšanju motoričkih sposobnosti te olakšava izvođenje aktivnosti svakodnevnog života oboljelima od Parkinsonove bolesti. Primjenjuju se različite fizioterapijske intervencije koje uključuju, vježbe istezanja, jačanja, respiratorne vježbe, i sl.
Abstract (english)
Parkinson´s disease is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases with an average age of onset in the 60s and usually over 50 years of age. The pathogenesis of Parkinson´s disease is caused by the interaction of genetic and environmental factors, but the exact mechanism of onset of the disease is not yet known. The most significant motor symptoms of the disease are tremor at rest, bradykinesia, rigidity and postural instability. In the treatment of Parkinson´s disease, pharmacological therapy, neurosurgical methods and physiotherapy are used. Physiotherapy contributes to the improvement of motor skills and facilitates the performance of activities of daily life for patients with Parkinson's disease. Various physiotherapy interventions are applied, which include stretching exercises, strengthening, respiratory exercises, etc.
