Abstract
Baby handling odnosi se na pravilno rukovanje djetetom tijekom raznih dnevnih aktivnosti kao što su podizanje, spuštanje, hranjenje, mijenjanje pelena, presvlačenje, kupanje i igranje. U početku ti postupci mogu biti izazovni i za roditelje i za bebu, međutim, kada roditelji nauče ispravne tehnike, te će aktivnosti postati rutina. Neophodno je da roditelji budu dobro educirani o pravilnom izvršavanju ovih zadataka, kao i da budu svjesni uobičajenih pogrešaka. Ponekad se određene pogreške u početku možda neće činiti štetnima, ali dugoročno mogu imati posljedice za bebu. Stoga ovaj rad ima za cilj opisati ispravne metode postupanja s bebom, a pritom se osvrnuti na najčešće pogreške roditelja.
Abstract (english)
Baby handling refers to the proper handling of a child during various daily activities such as lifting, lowering, feeding, changing diapers, changing clothes, bathing, and playing. Initially, these procedures may be challenging for both parents and the baby, however, once parents learn the correct techniques, these activities will become routine. It is essential for parents to be welleducated about the correct execution of these tasks, as well as being aware of common mistakes. Sometimes, certain mistakes may not appear detrimental initially, but they can have consequences for the baby in the long run. Therefore, this paper aims to describe the proper methods of baby handling while addressing the most common mistakes made by parents.
