Abstract
S porastom broja starijih osoba u Republici Hrvatskoj kao i u ostalim zemljama Europske unije raste i potreba za institucionalnom skrbi i povećanjem smještajnih kapaciteta u domovima za starije i nemoćne. Mnoga istraživanja već su istraživala kvalitetu psihosocijalne skrbi u institucijama za skrb. U okviru ovoga rada provedeno je istraživanje o kvaliteti psihosocijalne skrbi u dva privatna i jednom državnom domu u Brodsko-posavskoj županiji. Unutar istraživanja podatci su prikupljani uz pomoć dvije statističke metode: polustrukturiranog intervjua i promatranja. Metodom intervjua prikupljeni su podaci o socio-demografskim, zdravstvenim i društvenim čimbenicima, a metodom promatranja su obuhvaćeni prostorni čimbenici i ukupna društvena atmosfera u domu. Sudionici istraživanja su uglavnom zadovoljni životom u domu, nešto manje su zadovoljni sudionici iz jednog privatnog doma. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju kako još treba raditi na podizanju kvalitete psihosocijalne skrbi u domovima za starije i nemoćne. Posebno treba raditi na boljoj organizaciji grupnih društvenih aktivnosti, u nekim domovima treba poboljšati kvalitetu prehrane i odnos sa zaposlenicima doma.
Abstract (english)
As the number of older people in Croatia is growing as well as in other countries of the European Union, there is need for more institutional care and more accommodation facilities in homes for the elderly. Many studies have already investigated the quality of psychosocial care in institutions for care. In the present work, research on the quality of psychosocial care was taken in two private and one state home in Brodsko-Posavska County, Croatia. Within the research, data were collected using two statistical methods: semi-structured interview and observation. Collected data by interview method was on socio-demographic, health and social factors, and by observation method was covered spatial factors and overall social atmosphere in the home. Participants in this study were mainly satisfied with home life, and participants from one private home were slightly less satisfied. The survey results show that more should be done to improve the quality of psychosocial care in homes for the elderly and disabled. In particular, it is important to work on better organization of social group activities and in some homes the quality of nutrition and relationship with emplyees should be improved.
