Abstract
Sve se češće dijagnosticira osteoartritis kuka kod ljudi, a prema Svjetskoj zdravstvenoj organizaciji do 2050. godine će oko 130 milijuna ljudi bolovati od osteoartritisa, a predviđa se da će čak 40 milijuna ljudi biti onesposobljeno. Kao glavni simptom javlja se bol u predjelu kuka i prepona, a opseg pokreta u zglobu kuka je znatno smanjen. Zbog prisutnosti boli, ljudi su ograničeni u svojim svakodnevnim životnim aktivnostima. Liječenje može biti farmakološko, konzervativno i operativno, a fizioterapija je sastavni dio liječenja ovih bolesnika. Fizikalna terapija razvija, održava i obnavlja pokretljivost te funkcionalne sposobnosti. Ona podrazumijeva primjenu fizikalnih agensa u svrhu liječenja i rehabilitacije bolesnika. Cilj fizikalne terapije je smanjiti ili otkloniti bol, povećati opseg pokreta u zglobu, omogućiti pacijentu rad svakodnevnih životnih aktivnosti te dostizanje nezavisnosti pacijenta. Sve većim napredovanjem medicine, pacijentima je omogućeno da se nakon operacije vrate svojim svakodnevnim životnim aktivnostima.
Abstract (english)
Osteoarthritis of the hip is being diagnosed more and more often in people and according to the World Health Organization, by 2050, about 130 milion people will suffer from osteoarthritis, and it is predicted that as many as 40 milion people will be disabled. The main symptom is pain in the hip and groin area, and the range of motion in the hip joints is significantly reduced. Due to the presence of pain, people are limited in their daily life activities. Treatmen can be pharmacological, conservative and operative, and physiotherapy is an integral part of the treatment of these patients. Physical therapy develops, maintains and restores mobility and functional abilities. It includes the application of physical agents for the purpose of treatmentand rehabilitation of patients. The goal of physical therapy is to reduce or eliminate pain, increase the range of motions in the joint, enable the patient to perform daily life activities and achieve the patient's independence. With the increasing advancement of medicine, patients are enable to return to their daily life activities after surgery.
