Back pain is a big socioeconomic burden today, since it is not a rare cause of seeking help in the health system and reduces the quality of life of the affected population. The existence of myofascial trigger points, for example in the area of the muscles of the neck region, can also be the cause of such pain. One of the many techniques we use in the treatment of mifoascial pain, as well as pain in the neck and lower back area, is dry needling or dry puncture. Dry needling is a technique used in physical therapy and rehabilitation to treat pain and dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system. This method involves inserting thin needles into muscles, fascia, or other soft tissues to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve function. The aim of this work was to determine the opinions of physiotherapists about the technique itself, that is, whether it is effective enough in the treatment of back pain and whether the technique itself is more effective as an independent technique or in combination with other techniques. The research includes 122 respondents, of whom 60 are men and 62 are women, whose age group was between 18 and 25 years old. The type of research is cross-sectional. Based on my research, I conclude that dry needling is useful for reducing pain. Comparing dry needling with other techniques, it has not been established whether dry needling itself is truly more effective than other techniques. Although dry needling is being researched a lot today, there is still a small amount of quality literature to be able to determine a clear effect.
