Abstract
Pojam održivog razvoja podrazumijeva proces u kojemu se postiže ravnoteža između ekonomskih, društvenih i ekoloških zahtjeva, kako bi se osiguralo zadovoljavanje potreba svih, bez da se ugroze mogućnosti budućih generacija u zadovoljavanju njihovih potreba. Danas sve više ljudi živi u gradovima. Stanovnici grada imaju pravo na jednaki pristup uslugama, kulturi i zajednicama u gradovima. Gradovi moraju imati organiziranu, sigurnu i kvalitetnu prometnu infrastrukturu. Također je potrebno voditi računa i o upotrebi zemljišta, izgradnji pješačkih i biciklističkih staza, pri tome imajući najmanji financijski trošak. Potrebno je dakle, voditi računa o što manjem zagađenju okoliša u gradu, na način da se koriste obnovljivi izvori energije. Održivi razvoj u gradovima je bitan za jednakost, zajednički prosperitet i osnova je za dugoročnu održivost.
Abstract (english)
The concept of sustainable development means a process in which a balance is struck between economic, social and environmental requirements, to ensure that everyone's needs are met without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Today, more and more people live in cities. City residents have the right to equal access to services, culture and communities in cities. Cities must have an organized, safe and quality transport infrastructure. It is also necessary to take into account land use, construction of hiking and biking trails, while minimizing the financial cost. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account as little environmental pollution in the city as possible by using renewable energy sources. Sustainable urban development is essential for equality, shared prosperity and is the basis for long-term sustainability.
