Abstract
Uvod: Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi kakva je kvaliteta života i razina funkcionalne samostalnosti osoba oboljelih od multiple skleroze, postoje li spolne razlike, te razlike s obzirom na razinu funkcionalne samostalnosti ispitanika i kvalitete života ispitanika. Metode: Istraživanje je provedeno online u ožujku 2019. i u njemu je sudjelovalo 139 osoba oboljelih od multiple skleroze. Rezultati: Umjereno ovisno o pomoći druge osobe je 129 ispitanika (92,8%), njih 7 (5%) ima tešku ovisnost, dok 3 ispitanika (2,2%) su potpuno ovisna o pomoći druge osobe. Postoji statistički značajna razlika u kvaliteti života ispitanika s obzirom na razinu funkcionalne samostalnosti ispitanika (p<0,000). Ispitanici koji imaju bolju razinu funkcionalne samostalnosti imaju veću kvalitetu života u odnosu na ispitanike koji imaju manju razinu funkcionalne samostalnosti. Rasprava: Na kvalitetu života oboljelih od multiple skleroze utječe više čimbenika, a zdravstveni, socijalni i društveni samo su od nekih.
Abstract (english)
Introduction: The objective of this diploma thesis was to define the quality of life in people with multiple sclerosis, are there gender differences, an differences of level of functional independence and quality of life in patients with multiple sclerosis. Methods: This research was conducted in March 2019., and the sample was composed of 139 individuals of both sexes, among patients with clinically definite multiple sclerosis. Results: Minimal physical assistance needs 129 participants (92,8%), 7 participants (5%) needs maximal supportive and maintenance assistance at home, while 3 participants (2,2%) needs full-time assistance. There is a statistically significant difference in quality of life with regard to the level of functional independence of the respondents (p >0,000). Functional independence has a much greater impact on the quality of life of respondents. Discussion: The quality of life of people with multiple sclerosis is affected by several factors; health and social environment are just a few of them.
