Abstract
Neurodegenerativne bolesti su neizlječiva stanja koja vode do progresivne degeneracije odnosno odumiranja živčanih stanica. To uzrokuje poteškoće s kretanjem ili mentalnim funkcijama. Neizlječive su, ali pravilnom terapijom se može usporiti daljnji razvoj bolesti. Neuromišićne bolesti obuhvaćaju veliku skupinu bolesti, kod kojih se događaju promjene na mišičinim i živčanim stanicama ili poremećaja podražaja sa živca na mišić. One dovode do slabosti mišića, otežane pokretljivosti, smetnji gutanja, disanja i glasovnih poremećaja. Neurološkim pregledom se ispituje stanje motoričkih funkcija i koordinacije te se time daje uvid u pojedine ili cijele segmente središnjeg živčanog sustava. Potrebno je uzeti u obzir čimbenike koji mogu usporiti tijek rehabilitacije bolesnika, te zbog toga treba individualizirati pristup pacijentu. Također je važna fizioterapijska procjena pomoću koje se definiraju ciljevi u daljnjoj rehabilitaciji pacijenta, te indiciraju fizioterapijski postupci.
Abstract (english)
Neurodegenerative diseases are incurable conditions that lead to progressive degeneration, i.e. dying out of nerve cells. This causes difficulties in moving or mental functions. They are incurable, but through regular therapy further development of the disease can be slowed down. Neuromuscular diseases encompass a great group of diseases where changes in muscle and nerve cells or disorder of stimulation from a neuron to a muscle are found. They lead to weakness of muscles, difficult mobility, swallowing, breathing and voice disorder. Condition of motor functions and coordination are examined through a neurological examination and this gives insight into individual of whole segments of central nervous system. It is necessary to take into account factors that can slow down the course of rehabilitation of the patient and this is the reason why approach to the patient should be individualized. Furthermore, physiotherapy assessment which defines goals in further rehabilitation of the patient and indicates physiotherapy procedure is also important.
