Handball is almost ideal sport for development of young people because it equally works and develops all psychomotor and intellectual characteristic of a person. A high correlation between intelligence and handball has been proven. Shoulder injuries along with an ACL and ankle injury are common in handball. Due to the nature sport, players use one, dominant hand for powerful ball throws. The most common musculoskeletal injuries of shoulder joint are injuries of rotator cuff, pectoralis major and biceps brachii. As a result of fatigue, overstressing syndromes are very common for handball players because the shoulder muscles are exposed to heavy loads over a long period. For handball players, shoulder instabilities refer primarily to the glenohumeral and acromioclavicular joint and only exceptionally to the sternoclavicular joint. Except for the shoulder girdle, handball players often hurt their elbows. Due to the protrusion and the complexity of the joint itself, which includes many anatomical structures, chronic damages and overstressing syndromes (“tennis elbow” and “handball elbow”) are very common in elbow area. In addition to elbows and shoulder, fist injuries are one of the most common handball - related injuries. Injuries of PIF and DIF joint of the finger occur most commonly.
