Abstract
Distorzija ili uganuće gležnja je mjesto na kojem je jedan ili više ligamenata gležnja djelomično ili potpuno rastrgano. Takve ozljede se događaju kod rukometaša u trenutcima bacanja, sprintova, naglih promjena smjerova, skokova i doskoka. Svi ligamenti imaju specifičan opseg pokreta i granice koje im omogućavaju održavanje zglobova stabiliziranim. Kad se ligamenti koji okružuju gležanj pomaknu preko ovih granica, to uzrokuje distorziju. Takvo istegnuće najčešće uključuje ozljede ligamenata vanjske strane gležnja. Svrha ovog istraživanja je utvrditi kod koga se najčešće događaju uganuća gležnja, profesionalnih ili rekreativnih rukometaša, te tko je skloniji ozljedama, muškarci ili žene. Jedan od trajnih deficita koji prati populaciju nakon ozljede gležnja je privremen osjećaj nestabilnosti koji se kod rukometaša pojavljuje na godišnjoj i mjesečnoj bazi. Kako bi se pokušalo razjasniti u kojim trenutcima se takve ozljede događaju, potrebno je ustanoviti dolazi li češće do osjećaja nestabilnosti tijekom izvedbe aktivnosti svakodnevnog života ili samo tijekom sportske izvedbe.
Abstract (english)
An ankle distortion or sprain is a place where one or more ankle ligaments are partially or completely torn. Such injuries occur in handball players in moments of throwing, sprints, sudden changes of direction, jumps and landings. All ligaments have a specific range of motion and boundaries that allow them to keep their joints stabilized. When the ligaments surrounding the ankle move beyond these boundaries, it causes distortion. Such sprains most commonly involve injuries to the ligaments on the outside of the ankle. The purpose of this study is to determine who has the most common ankle sprains, professional or recreational handball players and who is more prone to injury, men or women. One of the permanent deficits that accompanies the population after an ankle injury is the temporary feeling of instability that occurs in handball players on an annual and monthly basis. In order to try to clarify in which moments such injuries occur, it is necessary to determine whether there is a more frequent feeling of instability during the performance of activities of daily living or only during sports performance.
