Abstract
Opsesivno-kompulzivni poremećaj uz druge anksiozne poremećaje postao je sve učestaliji u današnjem svijetu. Opsesivno-kompulzivni poremećaj (OKP) anksiozni je poremećaj koji je karakteriziran mislima koje izazivaju strah (prisilne misli ili opsesije) i ponašenjem, mentalnim predodžbama koje si osoba nameće kako bi se strah smanjio ili kako bi izbjegla strašnu posljedicu (kompulzije). Opsesivne misli koje se javljaju obično izazivaju kompulzivne radnje. Uzimajući u obzir epidemiološke studije, može se reći kako prevalencija opsesivno-kompulzivnog poremećaja tijekom života iznosi 2,5 %. Kod djece i adolescenata, prevalencija opsesivno-kompulzivnog poremećaja iznosi od 1-2 %. Simptomi anksioznosti, situacije u kojima se simptomi javljaju te njihovo trajanje prikazuju osnovne dijagnostičke smjernice za dijagnosticiranje anksioznih poremećaja. U svrhu liječenja opsesivnokompulzivnog poremećaja koriste se razne metode, a neke od njih su farmakoterapija, socioterapija, psihoterapija i drugo. Jako je važno educirati pacijenta o stanju u kojem se nalazi te o terapiji koja će se primjenjivati.
Abstract (english)
Obsessive-compulsive disorder among other anxiety disorders has become more frequent in today's world. Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder which is characterised by thoughts which cause fear (forceful thoughts and obsessions) and behaviour, mental images inflicted by a person in order to lessen fear or to avoid horrible consequence (compulsion). Obsessive thoughts usually trigger compulsive actions. Taking in consideration epidemologic studies, it is safe to say that the prevalence of obsessive-compulsive disorder during life sums up to 2.5 %. In children and adolescent, prevalence of obsessive-compulsive disorder is between 1-2 %. Symptoms of anxiety, situations in which symptoms manifest and their duration are taken into consideration as guidance for diagnosing anxiety disorders. Different methods are used for the purpose of treating obsessive-compulsive disorders, some of them are pharmacotherapy, socioteraphy, psychotherapy and other. It is very important to educate patient of the state he is in and the therapy which is going to be used.
