In the Republic of Croatia, the rights of every individual are prescribed by the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia, international treaties to wich the Republic of Croatia is a pleader, and laws. The fundamental right of every human being is the right to life and it is the center and presupposition of all human rights. The right to life is respect for human life as a center for the protection of human rights. The right to life is an elementarx human right, which is recognized in all constitutions. In the hierarchy of human rights, the right to life is above and ahead of all other rights. The right to life is that part of rights and freedoms which must not be revoked or restricted under any circumstances. The right to life is a basic human right, without which the other rights do not make sense and from which all other rights derive. Man acquires them by birth, they are universal and equal for all. A living being does not live his life among the laws, but among the events that change thoes lawe. The topic of abortion regulates issues of the right to life and the right to privacy. It is the right to life of the unborn child and the right to privacy of the mother that abortion enables that is the subject of stumbling within many professions, including rights. In 2017, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia issued a decision on the request to review the constitutionality of the Communist Health Measures Act for exercising the right to freely decide on the birth of children, which allowed abortion until the 10th week of pregnancy. Human life begins with conception and, accordingly, Art. 21. of the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia should apply to the unborn child because of its specificity, which includes that human being has the right to life.
