Abstract
Ozljede prsnog koša u sportu su relativno rijetke, a nastaju obično kao posljedica sudara sportaša, pada ili pogotka objekta kao što su nogometna lopta u prsni koš. Takve ozljede najčešće nastaju u agresivnijim sportovima s puno kontakta kao što su nogomet, rukomet i hokej na ledu te se češće javljaju kod muškaraca. Od najčešćih ozljeda prsnog koša u sportu izdvajaju se prijelomi rebara, lebdeća prsa, pneumotoraks, hemotoraks i srčana komocija (Commotio Cordis). Najveći broj ozljeda prsnog koša su lakšeg oblika, ali zbog mogućnosti da ozljeda utječe na normalan rad srca i pluća, ozljede prsnog koša nose povećan rizik za nastanak komplikacija i životno ugrožavajućeg stanja. Ozljede prsnog koša većinom dobro reagiraju na konzervativne metode liječenja, a jedini izuzetak je srčana komocija gdje je smrt i dalje najčešći ishod. Ovaj rad daje detaljniji uvid u samu prirodu ozljeda prsnog koša, kao i u djelokrug rada fizioterapeuta prilikom ovakvih vrsta ozljeda.
Abstract (english)
Chest injuries in sports are relatively rare and usually occur as a result of an athlete's collision, fall or an object such as soccer ball hitting the chest. Such injuries mostly occur in more aggressive sports with a lot of contact such as football, handball and ice hockey and are more common in men. The most common chest injuries in sports are fractures of the ribs, flail chest, pneumothorax, hemothorax and Commotio Cordis. Most chest injuries are not severe, but because of the possibility that the injury affects normal heart rythm and breathing, chest injuries carry an increased risk for complications and occurrence of life-threatening conditions. Chest injuries respond mostly well to conservative treatment methods, with the only exception being Commotio Cordis where death is still the most common outcome. This paper provides a more detailed insight into the very nature of chest injuries, as well as the scope of work of a physiotherapist regarding this types of injuries.
