Abstract
Tenis je kompleksna igra jer zahtijeva paralelno povezivanje većeg broja čimbenika te utjecaj na njih sa svrhom učinkovitog svladavanja protivničkog igrača i unaprjeđenja same teniske igre. Ozljede gornjih ekstremiteta navode se kao najčešće u tenisu. Cilj bio je istražiti koliko se i kako ozljeđuju tenisači – rekreativci s područja Vukovara i Osijeka, kako ozljede preveniraju te koliko su uopće upoznati sa samom prevencijom. Rezultati prikazuju kako ispitanici nisu dovoljno upoznati s metodama prevencije, kao niti da se javljaju fizioterapeutu ili nekom drugom zdravstvenom djelatniku za stručnu pomoć u prevenciji narednih ozljeda u tenisu. Preventivni programi bi trebali biti budućnost rekreativnog ali i profesionalnog tenisa. Pravilnim nadgledanjem, obukom i prevencijom najčešćih ozljeda u tenisu, rezultat će biti samo manji broj ozljeda.
Abstract (english)
Tennis is a complex game because it requires the parallel connection of a large number of factors and the influence on them with the purpose of effectively overcoming the opposing player and improving the tennis game itself. Upper extremity injuries are cited as the most common in tennis. The goal was to investigate how much and how recreational tennis players from the area of Vukovar and Osijek get injured, how they prevent injuries and how familiar they are with prevention itself. The results show that the respondents are not sufficiently familiar with prevention methods, nor that they contact a physiotherapist or another health professional for professional help in the prevention of future injuries in tennis. Preventive programs should be the future of recreational as well as professional tennis. Proper monitoring, training and prevention of the most common injuries in tennis will result in fewer injuries.
