Abstract
Patelarnu tendinopatiju ili skakačko koljeno ubrajamo u sindrome prenaprezanja koljena koji nastaju kao posljedica ponavljanog preopterećenja ekstenzornog mehanizma koljena. Ova je ozljeda najzastupljenija kod sportaša koji redovito izvode eksplozivne pokrete skokova koji pružaju jako opterećenje na tetivu kvadricepsa i patele, poput košarkaša i odbojkaša. Karakteristika ozljede je da počinje blagom boli kojoj se, najčešće, ne pridaje značaj te osoba nastavlja rutinski obavljati aktivnost ne prilagođavajući je novonastalom stanju, što može povećati stadij ozljede. Dijagnoza se postavlja na temelju detaljne anamneze i kliničkoga pregleda. Slikovne pretrage poput ultrazvuka i magnetske rezonance mogu biti korisne kada su informacije dobivene iz anamneze i kliničkog pregleda dvojbene. Prvi izbor u liječenju patelarne tendinopatije je konzervativna metoda liječenja, dok se operacijsko liječenje provodi u krajnjem stadiju ozljede ili kada konzervativne metode nisu pridonijele. U rehabilitaciji patelarne tendinopatije, od svih fizioterapijskih intervencija, najznačajnija je kineziterapija, gdje se vježbe provode u cilju jačanja i istezanja muskulature oko koljenog zgloba. Ultrazvučna terapija kao i terapija laserom pokazale su se kao dobar izbor u liječenju skakačkog koljena.
Abstract (english)
Patellar tendinopathy, or jumper's knee, is classified as an overuse syndrome of the knee, resulting from repetitive overload of the knee extensor mechanism. This injury is most common among athletes who regularly perform explosive jumping movements that place significant stress on the quadriceps and patellar tendons, such as basketball and volleyball players. The injury typically begins with mild pain, which is often overlooked, leading the individual to continue their activities without adjusting to the new condition, potentially worsening the injury. Diagnosis is based on a detailed medical history and clinical examination. Imaging tests such as ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be useful when the information obtained from the medical history and clinical examination is ambiguous. The first choice in treating patellar tendinopathy is conservative treatment, while surgical treatment is considered in the final stage of the injury or when conservative methods have not been effective. In the rehabilitation of patellar tendinopathy, kinesitherapy is the most significant physiotherapeutic intervention, involving exercises aimed at strengthening and stretching the muscles around the knee joint. Ultrasound therapy and laser therapy have also proven to be effective choices in treating jumper's knee.
