Abstract
Alzheimerova bolest je najčešći uzrok demencije kod osoba starijih od 65 godina. Dolazi do naglog propadanje neurona, nakupljanja sitnih čestica u živčanim stanicama i kao posljedica blokade neurotransmitera. Dijagnoza Alzheimerove bolesti se sa sigurnošću može dokazati jedino postmortalno. Prosječni životni vijek oboljelih od Alzheimerove bolesti od trenutka dijagnosticiranja je sedam godina. Postoje tri faze. Bolest je neizlječiva, dakle liječenje je simptomatsko. Jedna od metoda je i kognitivna rehabilitacija koja može unaprijediti proces liječenja. Uključuje razne metode relaksacije čime postižemo poboljšanje motoričkih sposobnosti, smanjenje tremora, bolji san te povećanje ASŽ-a. Tretmani su usmjereni na održavanje ili poboljšanje zdravstvenog stanja oboljelog. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati ulogu fizioterapije kod osoba oboljelih od Alzheimerove bolesti.
Abstract (english)
Alzheimers disease is the most common cause of dementia in person older thet 65. It leads to sudden deterioration of the neurons, formation of small particles in teh nerve cells and as the consequence, it come to blockage of the neurotransmitters. Diagnosis of Alzheimers disease can only be proved postmortally. The average life expectancy of people with Alzheimers disease from teh time of diagnosis is seven years. There are three stages of the disease. Alzheimers disease is incurable, so the treatmen is symptomatic. One of the treatment is methods is cognitive regabilitation that can improve healing process. It includes various relaxation methods to advance motor skills, reduce tremor, improve sleep and increase daily activities. Treatments are focused on maintaining or improving health condition of the patient. The purpose of this work is to show a role of physiotherapy in people with Alzheimers disease.
