Abstract
Moždani udar definira se kao akutna ili subakutna pojava neuroloških simptoma koja je prouzročena poremećajem arterijske cirkulacije mozga. Cerebrovaskularne bolesti važan su predmet istraživanja te veliki medicinski i javnozdravstveni problem. Moždani udar se može klasificirati na ishemijski, hemoragijski i subarahnoidalno krvarenje. Rehabilitaciju bolesnika nakon moždanog udara treba započeti odmah, čim je bolesnik u medicinski stabilnom stanju. Fizikalna rehabilitacija ima značajnu ulogu u liječenju i osposobljavanju bolesnika, dok su fizioterapijske vježbe najvažnija stavka rehabilitacije te s njima treba započeti što ranije kako bi se posljedice moždanog udara eliminirale. Moždani udar može utjecati na različite funkcije pacijenata i uzrokovati različita neurološka oštećenja. Timski rad je kamen temeljac u procesu liječenja i rehabilitacije. Predstavlja najrašireniji oblik izvođenja složenih i profesionalnih zadataka, a za čije ostvarenje su potrebna znanja iz različitih područja.
Abstract (english)
A stroke is defined as an acute or subacute occurrence of neurological symptoms which is caused by an interruption of arterial blood supply to the brain. Cerebrovascular diseases are important subjects of research, as well as a major medical and public health issue. A stroke can be defined as ischemic or as hemorrhagic, as well as a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Rehabilitation of patients should begin immediately after a stroke, as soon as they are brought to a medically stable condition. Physical therapy plays a significant role in the treatment and recovery of patients, while physiotherapeutic exercises are the most important component of rehabilitation, and should commence as soon as possible in order to eliminate the aftereffects of a stroke. A stroke can affect several bodily functions of patients, as well as cause various kinds of neurological damage. Teamwork is the cornerstone in the process of treatment and rehabilitation. It represents the most widespread form of execution of complex and professional tasks which require knowledge from various fields.
