Meniscal injuries are one of the most common knee injuries and the most commong causes of surgical interventions in orthopedics. Meniscal ruptures can be traumatic (mechanical) or degenerative and the most common mechanism of injury is non-contact. Medial menisc is more often injured than lateral menisc. Meniscal ruptures were usually treated by total meniscectomy, but over the time the negative consequences were recognized of such procedure. Therefore, total meniscectomy was replaced by partial meniscectomy. As the removal of only a part of menisc increases the risk of joint degeneration, in selected patients meniscal repair can be done. The operative treatment of meniscus rupture is followed by rehabilitation. The aim of the final thesis was to describe the protocol of therapeutic excercise after the meniscal repair according to its phases and type of the exercises which are used. Rehabilitation protocols are different, especially in the terms of weight-bearing and use of the immobilization. Generally, the rehabilitation program can be divided into three phases. Those are the phase of maximum protection, the phase of moderate protection and controlled movement and the phase of minimum protection and return to function.
