Abstract
Danas, informacijska tehnologija prodrla je u sve sfere ljudskog djelovanja i život bez nje bio bi nezamisliv. Informacijska tehnologija (IT) obuhvaća tehnologiju kao što su hardver, softver i računalne mreže, a koje služe za prikupljanje, obradu i uporabu informacija. Uvođenje informacijske tehnologije u poslovanje ima vrlo važnu ulogu radi postizanja konkurentnosti te predstavlja ključni resurs za dugoročni rast poduzeća. Cilj rada je definirati informacijske tehnologije, prikazati prednosti i nedostatke uvođenja IT-a u poslovanje s posebnim osvrtom na multinacionalnu kompaniju Amazon koja je promijenila svijet.
Abstract (english)
Information technology has spread throughout all spheres of human activity and it would be impossible to imagine life without it. Information technology (IT) comprises technology such as hardware, software and computer networks, which are used for collecting, processing and using information. Implementing information technology into business is important because it helps achieve competitiveness and it represents a key resource for a longterm growth of the company. The aim of this paper is to define information technologies, show advantages and disadvantages of implementing IT into business, with a special overview of the multinational company Amazon which has changed the world.
