Abstract
U Republici Hrvatskoj od malignih oboljenja u roku od godinu dana oboli oko 20 000 osoba, a oko 13 000 ih umre. Tumor je jedan od najvažnijih uzročnika smrti, nakon kardiovaskularnih oboljenja. Najčešći karcinom u žena je karcinom dojke, no ipak je po uzorku smrtnosti drugi od karcinoma, a na prvom mjestu je karcinom pluća. Karcinom debelog crijeva se pojavljuje duž debelog crijeva, no učestaliji je na proksimalnom dijelu debelog crijeva. Čimbenici rizika za razvoj tumora tijela maternice su: starija životna dob (63 godine), policistični jajnici, rana menarha, anovulatorni ciklusi, kasna pojava menopauze), dugotrajna endogena i egzogena hiperestrogenemija i uporaba tamoksifena. Liječenje onkoloških bolesti temelji se na multidisciplinarnom pristupu, te se provodi u specijaliziranim centrima za onkološke bolesti. Fizioterapeut onkološkom bolesniku mora pružiti maksimum svojih vještina koje će pacijenta pripremiti na procese rehabilitacije koji tek dolaze, te mu pomoći pri svladavanju svakodnevnih aktivnosti, brige o samom sebi i pružiti mu psihološku i fizičku potporu. Onkološki bolesnici moraju pratiti posebnu prehranu jer njihov organizam ima potrebu za većim unosom energije, a posebice proteina kako bi se poboljšao obrambeni sustav protiv malignih aliteracija.
Abstract (english)
In Croatia, about 20,000 people fall ill with malignant diseases within a year, and about 13,000 die. Tumor is one of the most important causes of death, after cardiovascular diseases. The most common cancer in women is breast cancer, but it is still the second leading cause of cancer, with lung cancer in the first place. Colon cancer occurs along the colon, but is more common in the proximal part of the colon. Risk factors for the development of uterine tumors include: older age (63 years), polycystic ovaries, early menarche, anovulatory cycles, late menopause), long-term endogenous and exogenous hyperestrogenemia, and tamoxifen use. The treatment of oncological diseases is based on a multidisciplinary approach, and is carried out in specialized centers for oncological diseases. The physiotherapist must provide the oncology patient with the maximum of his / her skills that will prepare the patient for the upcoming rehabilitation processes, and help him / her to master daily activities, take care of himself / herself and provide him / her with psychological and physical support. Cancer patients must follow a special diet because their body needs a higher intake of energy, and especially protein to improve the defense system against malignant alliterations.
