Abstract
Lumboischijalgija, poznata i kao išijas, odnosi se na simptome poput boli, trnaca ili slabosti koji se protežu od donjeg dijela leđa prema nozi, često sve do stopala. Iako se išijas često smatra bolešću, zapravo je riječ o simptomu uzrokovanom iritacijom ili kompresijom Nervus ischiadicus, što može proizaći iz različitih stanja poput hernijacije diska ili spinalne stenoze. Ovo stanje značajno smanjuje kvalitetu života pacijenata, uzrokujući bol i ograničenu pokretljivost. Tradicionalni tretmani, poput lijekova i operacija, često se koriste, ali istraživanja sve više ističu tjelovježbu kao ključnu terapiju. Aerobne vježbe, vježbe snage i istezanja mogu smanjiti bol i poboljšati funkcionalnost, smanjujući pritisak na živce i poboljšavajući fleksibilnost. Redovita tjelovježba pruža dugoročno olakšanje i može smanjiti potrebu za farmakološkim ili kirurškim intervencijama. Ovaj rad će istražiti učinke različitih vrsta vježbi, uključujući istezanje, stabilizacijske vježbe i izometričke vježbe, u smanjenju boli i poboljšanju života pacijenata s lumboischijalgijom.
Abstract (english)
Lumboischialgia, also known as sciatica, refers to symptoms such as pain, tingling, or weakness that extend from the lower back down to the leg, often reaching the foot. Although sciatica is often considered a disease, it is actually a symptom caused by irritation or compression of the Nervus ischiadicus, which can result from various conditions such as disc herniation or spinal stenosis. This condition significantly reduces the quality of life for patients, causing pain and limited mobility. Traditional treatments, such as medications and surgeries, are commonly used, but research increasingly highlights exercise as a key therapy. Aerobic exercises, strength training, and stretching can reduce pain and improve functionality by relieving nerve pressure and enhancing flexibility. Regular exercise provides long-term relief and can reduce the need for pharmacological or surgical interventions. This paper will explore the effects of different types of exercises, including stretching, stabilization exercises, and isometric exercises, in reducing pain and improving the lives of patients with lumboischialgia.
